exocortis, n. Bot.|ɛksəʊˈkɔːtɪs| [f. exo- + L. corti(ci)s gen. of cortex bark.] A viroid disease of certain citrus plants, esp. of the trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata), the symptoms of which include exfoliation, scaling of the bark, and severe stunting of the crown.
