Origin: Formed within English, by compounding; modelled on a French lexical item. Etymons: recti- comb. form, serial adj.
Etymology: < recti- comb. form + serial adj., after French rectisérié (L. Bravais & A. Bravais 1837, in Ann. des sci. nat. Bot. 7 44).
Botany. Now rare.
Designating forms of phyllotaxis in which the leaf completing one complete turn of a spiral or whorl lies directly over the first leaf.
