Etymology: < post-classical and scientific Latin ramuloso-, combining form (in e.g. ramuloso-palmatus (1816 or earlier)) of classical Latin rāmulōsus ramulose adj.; compare -o- connective.Found only in a small number of formations exemplified below. Combining with second elements ultimately of Latin origin.

Biology. Obsolete. rare.

Forming adjectives with the senses ‘ramulose and ——’, ‘so as to form small branches’, as ramuloso-ciliate, ramuloso-pinnate, ramuloso-verrucose adjs.
