Etymology: Irregularly < prescience n., after scientific adj. N.E.D. (1908) gives the pronunciation as (prīsəiˌĕnti·fik) /priːsaɪənˈtɪfɪk/.
Obsolete. rare.
Of or relating to divine prescience. In quot. in conditional prescientific: designating a theological theory asserting that divine foreknowledge extends to possible events which will never actually occur.
