Biochemistry.
A toxic blue pigment produced by the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa (formerly known as Bacillus pyocyaneus) and giving a blue or green colour to pus.Pyocyanine is structurally related to phenazine. Formula: C13H10N2O.
