Etymology: < classical Latin fulmineus belonging to or caused by lightning, like lightning or thunder, having the speed of lightning ( < fulmin- , fulmen fulmen n. + -eus : see -eous suffix) + -ous suffix. Compare slightly later fulminous adj.
Now rare.
Of or relating to thunder and lightning; = fulminous adj.
