Origin: A borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element. Etymons: Latin albus , -ocracy comb. form.
Etymology: < classical Latin albus white (see album n.2) + -ocracy comb. form.
Government by white-skinned people, usually entailing discrimination against those of other colours; an example of this.
