‖ blauwbok|ˈblaʊbɒk| [Du. blaauwbok, f. blaauw blue + bok buck, he-goat.] A name given by the Dutch settlers to a large Antelope (A. leucophæa) in South Africa, on account of the effect produced by its black hide showing through its ashy-grey hair.
