torbernite Min.|ˈtɔːbənaɪt| Also torberite. [ad. Ger. torbernit (Werner 1792), orig. torberit, f. Torbernus, latinized form of the name of the chemist Torber Bergmann: see -ite1.] A native phosphate of uranium and copper, found in bright green tabular crystals; also called copper-uranite, and (erroneously) chalcolite.
