单词 adigression
释义

adigressionn.

Origin: Apparently formed within English, by compounding. Etymons: an element of uncertain origin, digression n.
Etymology: < a first element of uncertain origin (probably the indefinite article a adj.) + digression n.Both quotations may merely be the result of unclear word division and lack of punctuation in an early printed book; it is possible that the example in quot. 14832 should be read as an appositive clause, to be modernized as ‘after this, a digression, go we again..’. The quotations are, respectively, the heading and the concluding sentence of a paragraph interpolated by the translator.
Obsolete. rare.
= digression n. 2.
