Etymology: < the name of Sinon, the Greek who induced the Trojans to bring the wooden horse into Troy (Virgil Æneid ii. 57 sqq.).
One who misleads by false tales; a perfidious person; a deceiver or betrayer. In Peele's Jests viii. Dyce reads she-Sinon for she-sinnow of the old editions.
