Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymons: Latin remeant-, remeāns, remeāre.
Etymology: < classical Latin remeant-, remeāns, present participle of remeāre to go or come back, return < re- re- prefix + meāre to pass (see meatus n.). In sense 1 perhaps an error for permeant adj.

1. Passing to the outside, exuding. Obsolete.
