Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: reflexible adj., -bility suffix.
Etymology: < reflexible adj. (although this is first attested slightly later in the relevant sense): see -bility suffix. Compare post-classical Latin reflexibilitas power of turning back (c1270 in a British source), Middle French reflexibilite capacity of something to turn back on itself (c1370), French réflexibilité capacity for being reflected (1706; < English).
