Etymology: < post-classical Latin quoad hunc so far as this (man) is concerned (see quot. 1679) < classical Latin quoad (see quoad prep.) + hunc , accusative masculine of hīc this (see hic jacet n.). In spec. legal use probably after quoad hanc adv. Compare also earlier quoad hoc adv.The phrase is apparently not attested in contextual use in this sense in post-classical Latin.

With regard only to the man concerned. Now esp. (Law) with reference to the nullity of a marriage or to sexual frigidity.
