Etymology: Perhaps < classical Latin praeiūdicāre prejudicate v. + -al suffix1, or perhaps simply an error for either (in sense 1) prejudicial adj.1 or (in sense 2) pre-judicial adj.2More recent examples of the spelling prejudical , such as the following, are probably errors for prejudicial adj.1:1988 Amer. Jrnl. Sociol. 94 684 A collective survey of racist remarks yields an array of discourse strategies used to convey benign-to-harsh racist philosophy, focusing on combinations of personal (ethnocentric) goals and prejudical opinions.
