Etymology: < white adj. + Hun n.1Compare ancient Greek λευκός white (see leuco- comb. form), used as an epithet of the Ephthalites (in the source translated in quot. 1653). Compare also Sanskrit Śvetahūṇa, lit. ‘White Hun’ (in an isolated source).
