Origin: Formed within English, by compounding. Etymons: myco- comb. form, plasmic adj.
Etymology: < myco- comb. form + plasmic adj., after mycoplasm n. Compare French mycoplasmatique (J. Erikson 1897, in Comptes Rendus de l'Acad. des Sci. 124 477).
1. Biology. Of or relating to mycoplasma (mycoplasma n. 1). Now disused or historical.
