Etymology: < French nadorite (M. Flajolot 1870, in Comptes rendus de l'Acad. des Sci. 71 237) < Jebel Nador , the name of a mountain in the province of Constantine, Algeria, where the mineral was first found + -ite -ite suffix¹.

Mineralogy.

An orthorhombic oxychloride of antimony and lead, PbSbO₂Cl, usually occurring as brown to yellow tabular or prismatic crystals.
