释义 | mama ntilien. Tanzanian English and Kenyan English. A street vendor, typically a woman, selling cooked food at low prices from a handcart or stall. Also: a street stall or roadside restaurant run by such a vendor. Cf. mama put n. ΚΠ 1993 Ottawa Citizen 21 Feb. b4/2 You smell cassava roasting and hear the sound of potatoes frying at the little shacks where workers fill up, fast and cheap. In Dar es Salaam these places are known as Mama N'tilie, which translates roughly as ‘Mother, give it to me’, or ‘Mother, fill me up’. 2007 Africa News (Nexis) 11 Aug.
