An open, oblong, trough-like object made of refractory material and having a slit along the bottom, which in the Fourcault method of making sheet glass floats on the surface of the molten glass. XXXI. 290/1 In drawing a sheet of glass a bait consisting of a narrow flat woven iron sheet of a length equal to the slit in the débiteuse is lowered within the lips forming the slit. 1948 W. C.
