▪ I. cording, vbl. n.1|ˈkɔːdɪŋ| [f. cord v.1 and n.1 + -ing1.] 1. The action of binding or fastening with a cord; hanging (quot. 1619). b. Weaving. The connexion of the treadles of a loom with the leaves of heddles by cords, in such a way as to produce the pattern required.
