clinician Med.|klɪˈnɪʃən| [ad. F. clinicien, f. L. clīnic-us: cf. physician.] 1. A clinical observer or investigator. Now esp. a doctor who has direct contact with and responsibility for patients, as distinct from one concerned with laboratory or theoretical work.
