schweinfurt green Chem.|ˈʃvaɪnfʊət| [f. Schweinfurt, name of a city in Germany.] A toxic green pigment that is a mixed acetate and arsenite of copper, Cu3(AsO3)2.(CH3COO)2Cu, and was formerly used as an insecticide. Also called Paris green, Vienna green.
