† deˈpartable, -ible, a. Obs. [a. OF. departable (13–14th c. in Godef.), f. depart-ir vb.: see -ble. The form in -ible follows L. analogy: cf. L. partībilis from partīrī.] 1. That may be parted or separated; separable.
