pre-ordiˈnation Now rare. [= late L. præordinātio (Hilary c 350), F. preordination (16th c. in Godef. Compl.), n. of action from L. præordināre to pre-ordain.] The action of pre-ordaining, or settling beforehand, what is to take place; the condition of being pre-ordained; predestination.
