perboric, a. Chem.|pɜːˈbɔərɪk| [ad. F. perborique (A. Étard 1880, in Compt. Rend. XCI. 931), f. per- per-1 5 b + borique boric a.] perboric acid: the supposed parent acid of perborates, which was formerly thought to have the formula HBO3 and is only known in acidic solutions containing perborate anions.
