▪ I. overcross, n. U.S. regional (chiefly west.). Brit. |ˈəʊvəkrɒs|, U.S. |ˈoʊvərˌkrɔs|, |ˈoʊvərˌkrɑs| [‹ over- prefix + either cross n. or cross v. Compare overpass n., to cross over (see cross v. 5), overcross v.] An overpass, a flyover. Also: a pedestrian crossing, esp. one in the form of a bridge.
