oneing, † ˈoning, vbl. n.|ˈwʌnɪŋ| For early forms, cf. one v. Also one-ing. [f. one v. + -ing1.] A making one, uniting, joining in one, union, fusion. Also as ppl. a. Unlike the vb. on which it is formed, the verbal substantive appears to have become obsolete in the 15th century and to have been consciously revived in the 20th.
