Leighton Buzzard, n.|ˈleɪtən ˈbʌzəd| [The name of a town in Bedfordshire, southern England.] Used attrib. to designate a light-coloured sand quarried in Leighton Buzzard and used esp. in refractory moulding and as a standard in cement testing.
