III. 105), f. the name of Klebs (see next) + L. -ella (see -el2).] A coliform bacterium of the ill-defined genus so called, which includes Friedländer's bacillus, Klebsiella pneumoniæ, and others associated with respiratory, urinary, and wound infections and occas. with hospital epidemics.
