immiscible, a.|ɪˈmɪsɪb(ə)l| [f. im-2 + miscible. Cf. F. immiscible (Littré, who cites a L. immiscibilis from Quicherat).] That cannot be mixed; incapable of mixture. Usu. spec. of a liquid: incapable of forming a true solution with or in another liquid.
