merbromin, n. Pharm.|mɜːˈbrəʊmɪn| [f. mercury n. + bromo- + -in1.] A fluorescein derivative containing bromine and mercury, C20H8Br2HgNa2O6 , obtained as greenish iridescent scales which dissolve in water to give a red solution used as an antiseptic.
