glossecollite Min.|glɒsiːˈkɒlaɪt| [irreg. f. Gr. γλῶσσα tongue (dative γλώσσῃ) + κολλ(ᾶσθαι) to adhere + -ite. So called by Shepard 1857 from its property of adhering to the tongue.] A white earthy variety of halloysite.
