Location:In Jackson County off I-94.
Facilities:100+ campsites (6 with electrical hookups), picnic area, enclosed day-use shelter, scenic view, observation tower, shoreline, boat launch, backpack and hiking trails, nature trails, mountain bike trails, snowmobile and ski trails.
Activities:Camping (including winter camping), boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, ATV riding, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling.
Special Features:Forest lies at the edge of the glaciated central plains, east of the "driftless" area of Wisconsin. Hiking to the top of Castle Mound provides views of the former bed of glacial Lake Wisconsin, as well as the unglaciated buttes, sandstone hills, and castellated bluffs that dot the landscape.
