push-back push-backAn expression used to indicate the rearward movement of an aircraft under tow on the surface of an airport. ATC (air traffic control) may not be in a position to see all obstructions that an aircraft may encounter during push-back, and so the ATC response to pilots who request push-back will be “Push back at your discretion.” Pilots will be given as much traffic information as possible. |
