MacIver, Robert Morrison MacIver, Robert Morrison (məkē`vər, –kī`vər), 1882–1970, Scottish-American sociologist, b. Scotland, grad. Univ. of Edinburgh and Oxford. He began teaching at Columbia Univ. in 1927.
