Behnisch, Günter

(1922–2010)A prominent German architect credited with helping reshape the face of postwar Germany. His airy modern buildings include the Munich Olympic Stadium, with engineer Frei Otto, for the 1972 Olympic Games; the Plenary Complex of the German Parliament in Bonn (2002); Genzyme Center in Cambridge, MA (2003); and the Center for Cellular and Bimolecular Research in Toronto, Canada (2005).
