1928 H. Ellis Stud. Psychol. Sex VII. vii. 409 The peculiarities of those human water-folk with whom I am here concerned I propose to call by the rather arbitrary but convenient name of Undinism.
1933 H. Ellis Psychol. Sex iv. 142 I have been accustomed to apply the term Undinism to the frequent presence of an early interest in water in general, and the urinary function in particular, persisting in later life. This interest, not amounting to a definite deviation of the sexual impulse..is common, especially in women.
1959 Times Lit. Suppl. 6 Feb. 65/4 Mr. Collis also avoids the question of the earlier Undinism and Urolagnia.
1977 Times Lit. Suppl. 13 May 584/3 Ellis was not homosexual. His ‘germ of a perversion’ was Undinism (ie watching women pee).
