Etymology: < Rolls-Royce, a proprietary name for a range of vehicles originally produced by Rolls-Royce Limited, a British manufacturing company producing motor cars and (from 1914 onwards) aircraft engines < the name of Charles Stewart Rolls (1877–1910), English motor car promoter and aviator + the name of Sir Frederick Henry Royce (1863–1933), English engineer and motor car designer.
