单词 | radiolaria |
释义 | Radiolarian. Zoology. With plural and singular agreement. (In form Radiolaria) a group of protozoans comprising the radiolarians; (also radiolaria) animals of this group (collectively or individually). The group was formerly ranked as an order or a class, and at first included heliozoans as well as the marine forms now called radiolarians. In most modern schemes it does not constitute a formal taxon, the radiolarians being divided between three of the four classes of Actinopoda (the fourth comprising the heliozoans).
