Etymology: Either < pug n.2 + nozzle n., or < pug n.2 + nozzle, variant of nuzzle v.1, probably after pug nose n.
intransitive. Of the upper lip and nostrils: to move up and down in the manner of a pug dog.Apparently an isolated use.
