Origin: Formed within English, by compounding. Etymons: pluto- comb. form, -graphy comb. form.
Etymology: < pluto- comb. form + -graphy comb. form; apparently coined by Tom Wolfe (compare quot. 1985 at main sense).
Tom Wolfe's term for: the graphic depiction of the lives of the rich, esp. as a genre of popular literature, journalism, and broadcasting.
