Etymology: < post-classical Latin perflatilis that can be blown through (Vetus Latina) < classical Latin perflātus blown through, past participle of perflāre perflate v. + -ilis -ile suffix. Compare earlier perflable adj. and also flatile adj.
Obsolete. rare.
Exposed to the wind; well ventilated; airy.
