1835 in Penny Cycl. IV. 62/1 Baxterians, a name which is applied to those who adopt the theological system of Richard Baxter.
1839 J. Stephen Ess. Eccl. Biogr. 44 Baxter was opposed to every sect, and belonged to none. He can be properly described only as a Baxterian.
