Etymology: < post-classical Latin orrhos serum (5th cent.), variant (probably after ancient Greek ὀρρός , transmission error for ὀρός ) of oros (c400) < ancient Greek ὀρός (see orotic adj.).Attested in a small number of English formations belonging to medical vocabulary from the mid 19th cent. Combined with second elements of Greekorigin.

Medicine. Obsolete. rare. Apparently only attested in dictionaries or glossaries.

Forming terms with the sense ‘of or relating to serum’; = sero- comb. form.
