Etymology: < osteo- comb. form + -geny comb. form, after post-classical Latin osteogenia (1670 or earlier). Compare French ostéogénie (1736), German Osteogenie (1753 in a translation of the lectures referred to in quot. 1736).
Histology and Physiology. Obsolete.
