Origin: A borrowing from Cornish. Etymons: Cornish ogo, gogo.
Etymology: < Cornish ogo (in place names), gogo, cognate with Old Welsh guocof , Welsh ogof , †gogof , cave, cavern, den. Compare fogou n., vogal n., and vug n., which are of similar meaning but are probably unrelated.
English regional (Cornwall).
A cave of natural origin in a shoreside cliff.
