单词 nitracrol
释义

nitracroln.

Origin: A borrowing from Latin, combined with English elements; perhaps modelled on a German lexical item. Etymons: nitric adj., Latin ācr- , ācer , -ol suffix.
Etymology: < nitr- (in nitric adj.) + classical Latin ācr- (stem of ācer sharp, pungent: see acrid adj.) + -ol suffix, perhaps after a German form (compare quot. 1848 and note below). Compare acrolein n.J. Redtenbacher (1846, in Ann. der Chem. u. Pharm. 57 145) does not use a German equivalent to nitracrol, though he does there coin Nitrocholsäure and Cholacrol.
