Origin: A borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element; probably modelled on a German lexical item. Etymons: micro- comb. form, Latin -graphia.
Etymology: < micro- comb. form + post-classical Latin -graphia (see -graphy comb. form), probably after German Micrographie (1903 in the passage translated in quot. 1903). Compare earlier micrography n. 2a.
Medicine.
Unusually small handwriting, often progressive over time, as a sign of various neurologic disorders, esp. Parkinson's disease.
