Etymology: < an Australian Aboriginal language: given as kūkūburra by Ridley Kámilarói, p. 21.
A large, arboreal, brown kingfisher, Dacelo novæ-guineæ, distinguished by its peculiar laughing cry; formerly called the goburra n. and also called the laughing jackass.
